Easy Beef Stew

2-3 lbs. HAEN BEEF STEW MEAT
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 cups water OR 12 oz. beer
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 onions chopped
2 cups baby carrots peeled
4 stalks celery cut in 2 inch chunks
1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes with juice
1 bay leaf
4-6 medium sized potatoes cut in chunks
1/3 cup quick cooking tapioca
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 cups water OR 12 oz. beer
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Methods/steps
1. Place beef in slow cooker.
2. Add onion soup mix and pepper and mix with beef.
3. Add all remaining ingredients and stir well.
4. Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours or high heat for 4-6 hours.
Notes:
*If stew gets too thick, thin with water or beef stock.
*Discard bay leaf after cooking.
